Many people find that their home is NOT an ideal place to work. With too many distractions it’s frustrating and hard to focus. With a personal workspace from Brix Coworking, you can enjoy being productive again.
My employer won’t cover the cost.
Even when you’ve provided a great proposal and outlined all of the ways coworking can benefit you and your company, sometimes employers still aren’t convinced to foot the bill.
If your employer says no, don’t fret! There are still alternatives that will get you out of your house and in a slightly more productive setting. These alternatives won’t have all of the amenities of a coworking space, but in a pinch, they can be a decent option.
The price of renting a workspace is too high.
Rather than worrying about rent, internet costs, phone bills, cleaning fees, management costs, utilities, and maintenance expenses, a shared workspace allows you to pay for all of these things with a single, fixed cost.
Sharing the space with other individuals means you are all pitching in to cover what would normally fall on a single company’s shoulders, so the fees will be at a much lower cost because they are split among everyone utilizing the coworking space. Not only does this save you money, but it also streamlines your bills, which can help you keep track of expenses and focus on other areas of your business.
Share space is too noisy or loud.
This ultimately comes down to the type of work you’re doing and your natural work style.
Some people love the buzz of a busy office space and can tune out with earbuds or noise-canceling headphones when necessary. Others need complete silence and visual calm in order to concentrate on their work. Still others might be able to treat the murmur of conversation like white noise.
With private office options and open-plan workspaces, our coworking spaces can accommodate those who need library-quiet environments as well as those for whom the buzz of conversation is energizing.
At home I can be safe and healthy from any viruses.
We get it, 2020 was surreal to say the least. We have put together information to ensure our members have the most accurate knowledge about what Brix Coworking is doing to ensure a safe, healthy and comfortable work environment.
Why would I use a workspace instead of a library or coffee shop?
You may be someone who can work anywhere, at any given time. But in public places, people also gather socially, which can turn up the volume and create big distractions. It also means you may have a hard time finding a table to sit at.
That and the noise associated with brewing coffee drinks make it difficult to have a conversation on the phone, and stepping outside means you’ve got to pack up your laptop and other personal items if you’re worried about security.
And speaking of security, while the Wi-Fi may be free as long as you’re buying (expensive) coffee drinks, that doesn’t mean it won’t be spotty. And don’t forget that because it’s public, it’s not very secure.
